Katsina Governor Appoints Former Deputy Governor As SSG

In a statement on Tuesday by the governor’s spokesman, Ibrahim Kaula, Faskari would replace Ahmed Dangiwa who has been nominated as a minister.

Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umar Radda has appointed the former Deputy Governor, Abdullahi Faskari, as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

In a statement on Tuesday by the governor’s spokesman, Ibrahim Kaula, Faskari would replace Ahmed Dangiwa who has been nominated as a minister.

Kaula stated that the appointment of Faskari as the new SSG is with immediate effect.

He said: “The appointment is with immediate effect. Abdullahi is expected to bring on board his vast wealth of experience as a technocrat.

“The new SSG served as commissioner of justice and attorney-general from 2003 to 2009, before moving to the education ministry to serve in same capacity.

“He is currently the pro-chancellor and chairman, governing council of the Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina.

“His contributions to the development and growth of the state, while serving as deputy to former governor Ibrahim Shema, remain unmatched.”
