Daniel Bwala, an aide to Atiku Abubakar has reacted to the crisis in Rivers state.

He called for the immediate sack of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and former governor of the state, Nyesom Wike.

Bwala made the call while reacting to the Rivers lawmakers’ plot to impeach the State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, following a loggerhead with his predecessor, Wike.

The Governor had visited the Assembly complex on Monday morning after a fire outbreak on Sunday, but security operatives reportedly fired gunshots and teargas at him.

In a post via X, Bwala said the country’s democracy does not recognise authoritarianism and Fubara should run Wike out of town with his executive powers.

Atiku’s aide further called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be careful of Wike, before he ruins his administration’s image both locally and internationally.

He wrote: “Sim Fubara should use the full weight of his executive powers to run Wike out of town. Our democracy does not recognize authoritarianism.

The person voted as the executive Governor and Chief security officer of Rivers State is Fubara. @officialABAT is urged to be extremely careful with Wike before Wike ruins his government’s image both locally and internationally. PBAT should sack Wike without delay”
