Nigeria’s First Lady, Sen Remi Tinubu has hailed the Supreme Court verdict which affirmed the victory of her husband, President Bola Tinubu in the Feb 25th elections.
She described it as the “the Lord’s doing”, stating that the court gave her husband a clean bill.
Mrs Tinubu who is a pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God RCCG said this at a political gathering in Imo state on Tuesday, October 31.
“You can see, the court has already given my husband clean bill and we believe that this is the Lord’s doing and it is marvelous in our eyes.‘’she said
The first lady promised that the South-East would be the industrial hub of Nigeria.
“Let me tell you, like my husband promised, that the East will be the industrial hub of Nigeria,” she said. “And the development of South-East starts from Imo.”
After months of legal fireworks, the apex court last Thursday dismissed the petitions filed by PDP’s presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and his Labour party counterpart, Peter Obi, and affirmed President Tinubu, of the APC, as the winner of the keenly contested election.
