Davido’s father, Dr. Deji Adeleke Reveals His Company Generates 15% of Nigeria’s Electricity

 

Dr. Deji Adeleke, father of renowned Nigerian singer, Davido has revealed that his company generates about 15% of Nigeria’s electricity.

 

He made the revelation while speaking at a recent conference where the Nigerian billionaire, discussed his investments in the nation’s power sector, including his thermal power plant, which is set to become fully operational in January 2025.

 

In his statement, Dr. Deji Adeleke said, “In Nigeria, I’m in the electricity business. I own power plants, and I currently generate about 15% of the country’s energy needs.”

 

According to him, Chinese engineering companies are involved in the construction of his new power plant, which, upon completion, will be Nigeria’s largest thermal plant, boasting a capacity of 1,250 megawatts. “By the grace of God, it will be operational by January,” he added.
