Governors elected under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have gathered for their inaugural meeting at the Akwa Ibom State Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.

Among those who have already arrived at the meeting venue include Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom, Dauda Lawal of Zamfara, and Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa.

The forum’s director general outlines that the governors will deliberate on recent national developments spanning political, social, and economic areas.

Moreover, the meeting will focus on the state of the PDP governors forum itself, the role of the PDP governors in solidifying the PDP, and the current condition of the PDP party.

PDP is all out to put its house in order after some governors during the 2023 presidential election worked against the candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar.

The likes of Nyesom Wike, Samuel Ortom, Okezie Ikpeazu, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde and several others in the party allegedly worked against the party during the election.
